Down 12 in the Second half, the Pats didn’t show any signs of worrying about their undefeated season. Tom Brady connected with Wes Welker and Kevin Faulk on some key plays, and then hit Randy Moss on some big ones to get the big win Saturday night 38 to 35.
Brady finished 21 of 31 for 356 yards and 2 tds, both to Randy Moss, who finished with 100 yards and the 2 tds. Wes Welker had 123 yards and Kevin Faulk caught 8 balls. Maroney also scored twice for that Pats who didn’t look shook when they were down 12 in the second half.
Eli through for 4 tds but had a key int late in the game. The Giants played well on offense for most of the night but could never put away the Pats when they were up 12. The Pats moved the ball at will on them and completed key 3rd down plays when needed.
This was a great game to watch, and congrats to the Pats and their fans for a great season. 16 and 0 is an amazing accomplishment and now they will rest up and wait to see who they will host in a few weeks for the playoffs.
The Giants meanwhile, will be playing Tampa Bay in the first round of the playoffs, next week in Tampa. I think this is a very good matchup for the Gmen, but they will have to rest up because Gruden will have his team ready to play.
New England is now 16-0 and still runing.
