Caps Beat Sens 8 to 6

The Washington Capital scored 8 goals saturday night and held of the Ottawa Senators by beating them 8 to 6.

Alex Oveckin scored 4 goals for the Caps and had an assist. Mike Fisher led a charge back for the Senators to get them within 1 but it was a little too late. He had 3 goals aka the natural hatrick in the 3rd period. Alfredsson had 2 goals and 1 assist as well for the Sens.

This game was a fun one to watch but the goalies clearly forgot to show up tonight. Martin Gerber was awful and only stopped 22 of 30 and it continues to worry Sens fans. The goaltending this year has been skeptical at best. Ray Emery hasn’t faired much better but the Sens better figure out something before the playoffs get here.

This is a big win for the Caps tonight and they will play the Sens again on New Years day at 4pm Est. Lets see if it brings as much excitement the second time around.
