
After recently embarrassing Joe Torre’s Dodgers, the Braves returned home to welcome the Washington Nationals. The Braves rookie Mike Minor pitched 6 innings with 5 strike outs and 2 earned runs. The Braves welcomed the kid to the big leagues after game with a beer shower.
The hero of the game was Martin Prado whose return could be exactly what the doctor order for the Braves offense. Prado’s hand seemed to be fine as he had 3 hits and 2 RBIs with one coming in the bottom of the sixth that tied the game. After that the flood gates burst open as the Braves went on to win their 70th game of the season by a score of 10-2.
