Jimmie Johnson won his second straight Nextel Cup Title. Matt Kenseth won the Ford 400 on Sunday night, but it was Johnson finishing 7th to clinch the Nextel Cup Title.

Johnson just had finish 19th or higher in order to win in the total points. Jeff Gordon was in second, but was held off after finishing 4rth in today’s race. Johnson ended up winning by 77 points in his second straight Cup Title.

I am no NASCAR expert, but to win two titles in a row in any sport is a unbelievable accomplishment. Johnson raced well all year long and deserved his second win in a row. He has got to be one of the most consistent drivers in NASCAR’s rich history.

So from we bleed sports, we congratulate Jimmie Johnson and his crew on the Nextel Cup Title and we wish him luck next year to 3 peat.

Most consistent? How do you figure? Gordon had the most points which makes him the most consistent
